OUR PROGRAM
PE Department is a boutique gym and group training space in Chelmer, Brisbane. Our training methodology is simple and based on 3 specialty 50 minute sessions; Strength, Fitness and All In. We offer customised programs using tried and tested training methods over what is trending because sometimes, simple is what’s best.
At PE Department, we want you to start your journey the right way. At your induction class, we will perform a movement and strength assessment to identify any movement and muscle discrepancies. Not only will this give you confidence, but it will help you to develop the skills you need in all key movements before entering our regular classes.
We love celebrating all of the little wins along your fitness journey, so we have designed our quarterly focus sessions for those that are all about the details. Every 12 weeks we will test, compare and highlight your improvements through a body scan, fitness and strength test.
While it’s recommended that you attend one of each session per week, we know sometimes that isn’t always possible – but don’t worry, we have a solution! Head into the PE Department between classes and work your way through the days session displayed on the TV’s or let one of our trainers assist you with a program to suit your specific fitness goals.
STRENGTH DEPARTMENT
Enter the strength department and watch your body progress! This is the ultimate class for developing whole body strength and lean muscle. This class will progress you through the fundamentals of strength training using dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells and more. We prioritise proper movement before considering weight, and classes will vary week to week as we progress you through various phases of strength training.
FITNESS DEPARTMENT
The ultimate fitness department! Take your fitness to the next level with our conditioning sessions. These classes range from high intensity circuits to boxing, and will fire up your metabolism in the most fun and efficient way possible.
ALL IN
Our signature class! This class combines our two training methods to give you the most ‘bang for your buck’ session. Spend the first half of the class working on your weakness’s and challenging your strength, and round out the session with some intensity – it’s sure to get your blood pumping and our famous ‘finishers’ will have you burning calories in no time!
PILATES DEPARTMENT
Pilates is a training method that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates focuses on proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. Pilates aims to connect body and mind to help create or enhance body awareness. We believe the Pilates Department will add another dimension and support the work completed in the Strength, Fitness and All In Departments.

There is a definite family feel which is so important and appealing for any Mums (or Dads) wanting to get back into fitness. Big corporate gyms were in my opinion, non-supportive of this with difficult timetables juggling kids etc. I can bring my kids too (anytime) if I have to, that was a huge factor for me, so there’s never any need for me to sacrifice my time or fitness just because I have little ones.
Gyms can be such an intimidating and unwelcoming place. I started off with some fairly serious back problems after having babies and it took a long time for me to pluck up the courage to start working out again. That’s where I can’t praise what the guys have done with PE Department enough. They’ve built this awesome little community, and I really feel like friendship and a good amount of banter is what keeps me coming back 4 – 5 times a week. Something I was never able to sustain previously.
